It’s almost February which means only a few more months until Spring.  But while winter’s here, we should embrace it! For us, there’s nothing that says winter, especially in Pennsylvania, like snow!
.
So for your next party, get together or just for whenever you’re in the mood to bake, embrace the cold weather, and make…SNOWBALL COOKIES!  These cookies are easy to make, celebrate winter and taste amazing – a win any way you look at it!  Try them out for yourself! (Recipe from Kaboose.)

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter or margarine
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar, sifted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2-1/2 cups flour, sifted
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup pecans, chopped

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Cream butter in large bowl. Add sugar, cream until light. Stir in vanilla. Mix in flour and salt. Stir in nuts. Shape into balls. Place on ungreased cookie sheet and bake in preheated oven for 15 minutes. Roll in additional powdered sugar straight out of oven. Roll again when cool.
